It sounds as though Nasal irrigation could be quite uncomfortable but I would like to do it for the benefits. What is the best way to avoid this feeling? Everyone who comes across this technique has the same anxious thoughts running through their minds..will this really help me? it sounds like a natural way to bring balance but the feelings are revolted by the thought of pouring water through the nostrils. The best way is to become familiar with the information on Jala Neti (nasal irrigation)so you will be open and firm in your resolve to do it. Some people can benefit from some guidance from a qualified practioner of Jala neti especially if they are a little nervous.Your anxious feelings will completely disappear and you will be amazed by how such a simple effective practice and experience could be achieved in a few minutes!
The most important thing about practising or holding a neti pot in your hands is that the weight of the pot holding the water and the duration one holds the pot to the nostril does not compromise your hand /body posture ( eg arm becomes tired etc) whilst pouring the water.
The breathe with ease pot holds approximately 340ml, one should aim to pour 500ml water through each nostril in one session. But you do not have to pour 500ml in one go!
The breathe with ease pot has a glaze which is fired at a temp leaving it non porous- this means it's surface will not collect any bacteria and is completely hygenic.
The spout fits snug to the nostril and creates an excellent seal and the cone tip is slightly formed creating an even flow and pressure.
